First Nights
Tuesdays at 9:30. The unsolicited pile, read aloud, no warnings given to the authors.
How it works
Anything unread by the first of the month goes into the pile. On Tuesday nights a player draws one at random and reads it cold, live to wire. Corrections are never made; the fluffs are the charm.
Three scripts a season graduate to full production. Forty-one have, since 1971, including two you have heard of and one the board still will not name.
House rules
No warnings. The author learns with the audience.
No length limit. The pips will end it if needed.
No edits. See: live to wire.
One repeat allowed by public demand. Wool Weather has been repeated eleven times.
