About Nightjar

Nightjar Radio is the late-night drama studio of the invented Dunmore Reach: six series in repertory, recorded live to wire in a converted lighthouse by six staff, eleven rotating players, and one cat with a contract clause.

We take no commercials, run no stream, and measure success in letters answered and discs survived. The pips run at the top of the drama hour; the kettle goes on at ten.

People tell the truth to a radio at night. — Vivien Aldercott, first schedule card, 1948

This site is a fictional design exercise; every place, person and programme is invented. The forms demonstrate and send nothing.
